If any of you out there have 2142, but it has been sitting on a shelf collecting dust for months, check this out. They just released version 1.0 on Friday the 28th, and a hotfix was just released today to address some issues the game had. I encourage you all to check it out.

from the model gallery alone, i'm liking the look of this. tho i think they have left the gallery by the wayside for a while (evidenced by the lack of textured star destroyers, and others...)

1.0 was released on the 28th, and a 1.1 hotfix was just released yesterday to fix some bugs that crept up (these guys seem to work quite fast now that the mod has finally bee released).

I tried the game out yesterday, and it looks quite good, and plays rather well. Some of the maps don't have the greatest textures, but then again, I'm running a minimum spec'd machine for 2142, so I don't have everything cranked up like I'd like to, and I'm trying to go for frames instead of flashy looks this time out. The weaponry is spot on canon though, and these guys have really done their research when it comes to the little details..
